Located nine miles east of Leicester within open rolling countryside, Billesdon has existed for over a thousand years as an agriculture-based community.
Foxton Trail (PDF, 7.2 Mb)
Foxton was originally a hill-top settlement, most likely founded in Saxon times. It is situated in the upper Welland Valley in a landscape fashioned in the ice age.
Gilmorton Trail (PDF, 6.7 Mb)
The village of Gilmorton is located some twelve miles south of Leicester and three miles north east of Lutterworth. Situated within a gently undulating landscape, the settlement is of Saxon origin.
Great Bowden Trail (PDF, 8 Mb)
Great Bowden, a conservation area, lies on the edge of the Welland Valley, close to Market Harborough and the Northamptonshire border, below the hill which gave Bowden its name.
Great Easton Trail (PDF, 6.9 Mb)
Situated in the Welland Valley and overlooked by Rockingham Castle, the village of Great Easton is particularly attractive. Close to the Eyebrook Reservoir, a noted haven for wildlife, the village nestles harmoniously in the rolling Leicestershire countryside.

Hallaton village lies approximately 16 miles southeast of Leicester, and 8 miles northeast of Market Harborough. Popular with horse riders, cyclists and walkers, the village surroundings provide stunning vistas of beautiful countryside.
Husbands Bosworth Trail (PDF, 6.1 Mb)
The village is close to the Northamptonshire border, about 14 miles south of Leicester and equidistant between the historic market towns of Market Harborough and Lutterworth. Situated on a ridge, the village lies on the watershed between the Avon which flows west to the Severn and the Welland which flows east.

At the southernmost tip of Leicestershire, Lutterworth is an attractive market town of approximately 10,000 inhabitants. The town centre is a designated conservation area with much to discover in the architecture.
Market Harborough Trail (PDF, 7.2 Mb)
This trail will take you around the town, where you will see many interesting buildings and learn a little about the town’s history. The trail is circular, starting and finishing at The Symington Building on Adam and Eve Street. It is about a mile long and will take around an hour, unless you decide to stop in one of the many excellent cafes or independent shops here in Market Harborough.
Medbourne Trail (PDF, 11.1 Mb)
Situated on the edge of the Welland Valley within quiet unspoilt countryside, the village of Medbourne is found on the B664 seven miles from both Market Harborough and Uppingham. Highly attractive, its central feature is the stream which runs alongside the church and under the medieval packhorse bridge. The cottages are mostly built from honey-coloured stone and these, together with the brook make Medbourne a photogenic location, especially in the spring.
North Kilworth Trail (PDF, 7.4 Mb)
North Kilworth, a Conservation Area, in South Leicestershire lies close to the River Avon on the Northamptonshire border. At the time of the Domesday survey there were two settlements Chivelesworde and Cleveliorde, which later differentiated into North and South Kilworth.

Located 700 feet (213m) above sea level and set within beautiful undulating countryside, the village of Tilton on the Hill is noteworthy for its extensive views. Situated at one of the highest parts of Leicestershire, the Church spire is the dominant feature for miles around.
