Waterways

Union Wharf is located in the attractive and historic market town of Market Harborough. The Wharf is at the terminus of the canal close to Foxton Locks and the historic Incline Plane. Enjoy a spot of lunch at The Waterfront or cocktails and nibbles in the Botanical Bar.

Spend some time on the water and hire a boat.

The flight of ten locks are the longest and steepest staircase locks in the UK. Delve into the history at Foxton Canal Museum. Enjoy a leisurely walk around the canal, browse the secondhand bookshop, have a drink at Bridge 61 Pub, sit down for lunch overlooking the water at the Foxton Locks Inn and even grab a cheeky ice cream from the Top Lock Cottage Cafe. If you really want to make a day out of it, why not hire a canal boat and enjoy the full experience? Hire a Boutique Narrowboat for a holiday from Union Wharf. Stay in the luxurious Foxton Locks Lodges to explore more of the district.
