Held traditionally on the Sunday before May Day Bank Holiday the Stanford Hall Classic VW Event is seen by many as the year’s premier classic Volkswagen show but still manages to retain a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere.
The show attracts over 10,000 visitors making it one of the largest held in the UK and has taken place annually since the first event in 1976. The emphasis has always been on putting on a great display of classic unmodified Volkswagens of all types and the aim is to offer great value for money, whether it’s in the entry prices or the fees for the trade stands which are regularly around 200 in number.
An area of club display cars of special interest is a feature area along with the Split Screen Van Club’s annual convoy consisting of up to 200 of the famous pre -1968 iconic vehicles and a special display by the Historic VW Club featuring early post war and 1950’s Beetles.
The Stanford Hall tearooms will be open for light refreshments and snacks. No pre-booking is required.
