From 15 February to the 8 March, we’re holding the following family events and activities:

Saturday 15 February – 10.00am to 3.00pm: Rose and Castle painting

(Drop in activity) Come and try your hand at this traditional canal craft, we’ll have staff on hand to guide you as you paint your own wooden spoon or paper plate in the ‘Rose and Castle’ style.

Sunday 16 February – 10.00am to 12 noon and 1.00pm to 3.00pm: Photography workshops

(Places limited – book ahead on Eventbrite) Join the Market Harborough photographic society for this introductory workshop, teaching you composition tips and taking you out on site to try out your new skills. Places are limited so booking is essential, visit our event page on Eventbrite for details and to book your place.

Saturday 22 February – 10.00am to 3.00pm: Jewellery making

(Drop in activity) Have a go at creating your own piece of jewellery to take home and treasure.

Sunday 23 February – 10.00am to 4.30pm: Lets Fish!

(Limited places – book on Eventbrite – with some drop in availability) OUr award winning, Let’s Fish! fishing taster sessions with coaching from our professional angling coaches and provided by our own Angling and fisheries team. You must book ahead for this very popular activity.

Saturday 29 February – 10.00am to 3.00pm: Let’s paint!

(Drop in activity) Create your own masterpiece inspired by the beautiful site at Foxton, be it the wildlife of the construction works, there’s plenty to see. Borrow a variety of painting materials and get creative.
